Alamo Tactical Kydex Minimalist Holster

3

I like minimalist designs, especially when it comes to my shooting gear. That’s why this holster caught my eye, Alamo Tactical’s kydex minimalist holster is an extremely low profile and simple holster that adds very little bulk while carrying. Their IWB holster uses a J-Clip to keep the holster from moving while drawing and covers the trigger guard to prevent accidents. At $20 they won’t break the bank either. They’re available in right hand and left hand configurations in black and flat dark Earth for Glocks, XDs, 1911s, M&Ps and other popular handguns. Check them out at Alamotactical.com.

$100 Frankengun Bullpup

Posted over at Thefirearmblog.com this 9mm frankengun bullpup cost the maker only $100 and was built with parts from various guns. It someone made this and brought it to market I bet they’d sell like hotcakes. It’s pretty damn sexy looking.

The stock is part steel and part polymer from a H&K SL8 rifle, the recoil spring is from an FAL, the bolt and barrel are from a Sten submachine gun.

A.R.M.S. #71L Series Back-up Sights

1

These sights have been on the market for a while now, but I recently stumbled upon them while shopping for back-up sights for my new AR-15 build. At under $90 the A.R.M.S. #71L Series back-up sights are in the same price range (although slightly cheaper) than the Magpul MBUS Gen2 Sights. They mount to all universal 1913 Weaver style rails and are made out of durable metal-reinforced polymer and sit just .610″ high when folded down. Just a note, you can’t mount these along with other polymer sights and accessories on gas blocks.

Visit Armsmounts.com for more info, or visit Amazon.com to purchase a set of the A.R.M.S #71 sights.

Barnes TAC-XPD Defense Ammo Coming Soon

0

Barnes recently announced their new TAC-XPD line of defensive ammo due out in 2013. They will be available in 380 Auto 80 grain TAC-XP, 9mm Luger 115 grain TAC-XP +P, .40 S&W 140 grain TAC-XP and .45 Auto 185 grain TAC-XP +P loads.

From the press release:

Designed for law enforcement and personal defense, TAC-XP pistol bullets retain nearly 100% of their original weight and track straight. Performance through bare gel, light and heavy clothing, car doors, plywood and automotive windshield glass is unmatched by the competition.

The lighter bullet weights of all-copper TAC-XP projectiles in comparison to lead-core counterparts enable the shooter to recover quickly due to less felt recoil, without sacrificing terminal performance. Specially engineered loads produce almost no muzzle flash – an important feature in low-light conditions. Distinctive Techni-Crom plated shells feed smoothly from the magazine for reliability shooters can depend on every time.
