AR-15 Optic Mounting Fail
Something seems off with this AR-15, not sure what it is, it just isn’t quite right.

A while back we posted about GunBot, a website that searches in-stock ammo online in real-time. Well we just stumbled upon similar site called AmmoScanner.com. Just like GunBot it searches the internet and looks for ammunition from all the various online retailers, currently it only searches .223/5.56, 9mm, .45acp, and .22lr. I’m sure more options will become available sooner, the best feature of AmmoScanner is their text alerts to help you snag ammo as soon as it comes back in stock.
We’ve also compiled a list of sources of ammo online to help you try and get some ammo, happy hunting!
Made by DrakeGmbH over on Gunnit, this awesome comparison shows the various 5.56 ball cartridges used by our military. From the M193, M855 as well as the M855A1 in 55 and 62gr. Now I just wish we can actually get our hands on some! 5.56 as well as .223 is as rare as a unicorn these days.
In case you missed it, here’s a cool cartridge comparison poster you can buy online with a few hundred various cartridges from rifles, shotguns and handguns.
I love me some Bourbon, Scotch is OK too, just check out my past post on the Kydex hip flask holster or a few of our other booze related post and you’ll see I like the firewater. If you’re a spirits and gun enthusiast like I am, then this sweet magazine flash from Knight’s Armament Company is right up your alley. At $57.50 it’s not cheap, but it would make an awesome gift or a must-have on your tactical rig (I kid, don’t drink and shoot!).

This is a neat idea, Saffle Industries is working on a quad rail system with a built-in bipod. It’s one of those creations that make you think, why didn’t I think of that?! These aren’t on the market yet, and actually Saffle Industries needs your help to bring this cool product to market. They have a crowdfunding campaign in the works to help raise the money to create the SI-RIP (Saffle Industries- Rail Integrated Pod). They’re hoping to raise $30,000 to get the materials needed and tooling setup.
Check out Rockethub.com to help with Saffle Industries effort to bring this cool new idea to fruition.
Dana White usually dresses pretty casually at the weight-ins the day proceeding a UFC fight night, it’s not uncommon to see him sporting a shirt from a band or favorite clothing company. At the weight-ins before The Ultimate Fighter: Team Jones vs. Team Sonnen Finale, he sported a Sig Sauer shirt. I’m guessing he’s a Sig owner, funny however, the UFC banned firearms and ammo sponsors early last year.
These sponsors pay big money to the UFC as well as the fighters that adorn their logos, so when the UFC banned them that meant less money for those MMA fighters. Many of whom don’t make that much for all their blood, sweat and tears. Could this be a sign that the UFC may be open to letting firearms and ammo companies back into the mix?
Not only were quite a few fighters sponsored by gun and ammo companies, many fighters are also gun owners and enthusiasts. It’s not uncommon to see popular MMA fighters at the shooting range, such as middle weight champ Anderson Silva, The Prodigy BJ Penn, or Brock Lesnar who’s also an avid hunter.

The Walking Dead has a pretty ecletric variety of weapons, there’s Rick’s .357 Colt Python, and fan favorite Daryl Dixon’s crossbow. Probably the most iconic weapon from The Walking Dead TV show as well as the comics, is Michonne’s Katana. The current lead female bad ass in the series makes use of the ancient Samurai weapon to dispatch walkers in silence, a key to survival in the world of The Walking Dead.
Earlier this month it was reported that 20,000 U.S. M-16 rifles as well as 15,000 rounds of 9mm ammo were stolen from a Interior Ministry warehouse in Kuwait. There were conveniently no guards on duty when the rifles were stolen. Any takers on where those rifles will end up? My guess is Syria.
