Philippine National Police Buys 14,000 Glock 17s

The Philippine National Police purchased 60,000 Glock 17 pistols last year to update their police force, which were using pretty outdated equipment and sidearms. I know, I’ve been to the Philippines quite a few times. Anyways, since Glock gave them such a smoking deal during their first purchase the PNP decided to buy an additional 14,000 Glock 17 pistols. They paid P16,000 each with their first purchase according to TheFirearmBlog. That’s around $371.56 American, yeah that’s a pretty darn good deal.

Single/Two Point Sling for the HTA 90/22 Bullpup Stock

I just got in my new 90/22 High Tower Armory bullpup stock kit for the Ruger 10/22, so far it’s been pretty impressive. I was shopping around for sling options for the bullpup stock when I stumbled upon this single/two point hybrid sling from Urban-ERT Tactical Slings. Their Urban-Sentry slings were designed to be used specifically with the new HTA 90/22 stocks and are available for both left and right handed shooters various colors. They go for $66.95 over at UrbanERTSlings.com.

Just a note, the picture above is of an actual P90, but the sling for the 90/22 will look very similar.

Glock Lubrication Guide

Wait, you have to lube a Glock? Apparently so as Glock posted this handy dandy lubrication guide on their Facebook page. All kidding aside it’s always a good idea to keep your firearms properly lubed, but not too wet.

My gun lube of choice these days has been FrogLube, it’s been absolutely fantastic in my firearms so far.

If you’re a fan of the HBO series Game of Thrones then you probably know that King Joffrey Baratheon is a total douche, and if you’re like me you’d love to pump him full of lead. The North Remembers!

Remember that awesome little flashlight deal I posted a while back? Here’s another great deal I stumbled upon while shopping on Amazon, a 1000 lumen LED flashlight for under $10 shipped. For a rechargeable battery and charger it brings the cost up to $18 shipped, still a great deal if you ask me. The light features three modes, high, low and strobe. It has an integrated belt clip and is small enough to fit in a 1″ rail mount too. The LED is rated up to 100,000 hours according to the manufacturer.

The folks from MagHolder.com have a pretty neat mag pouch available. Instead of the traditional vertical layout that most magazine pouches have, they’ve turned them on their side into a horizontal configuration. What are the benefits of a horizontal mag holder? Concealability for the most part, the downfall is a slightly slower draw. They’re made here in the USA and retail for just $25 in both left and right hand configurations. Currently they’re available for the S&W M&P series, 1911s, Springfield XD, XDM and XDS, Glock (except for .45ACP and 10mm models), and various single stack models as well.
