Remember the Maglite suppressor from The Walking Dead a few years back? Well it looks like someone actually made the adapter to attach a Maglite to your threaded barrel. Now just threading a Maglite to your gun won’t turn it into a suppressor without adding any baffling. But it would look cool if you’re trying to build accessories for a Walking Dead cosplay or something.

I love the M1 Carbine, it’s light, accurate and packs a decent punch. One of my dream guns is the brother to the M1, the select-fire M2 Carbine. If you’re a fan of the M1 and M1 Carbines you’ll get a kick out of the video above produced by the U.S. War Department in 1945. They even compare it to the 8mm Japanese Type 100 submachine gun.

France Looking to Replace FAMAS Rifle

Looks like France is finally working on replacing their FAMAS rifles. They’re looking to acquire 90,000 rifles chambered in 5.56mm x 45 NATO from a foreign producer as they no longer have the production capacity to produce them in country. So far on the list of potential replacement list are the FN Herstal FN SCAR-L, the Thales Australia F90, the German Heckler & Koch HK416A5, the Italian Beretta ARX160, and the Czech CZ 805 BREN. The folks at Texas Precision Products released an interesting muzzle brake for the Mosin Nagant 91/30. Made of 6061 T-6 aircraft-grade aluminum and weighting in a just 3.5 ounces their new brake reduces muzzle rise as well as recoil up to 45%. No gunsmithing is required to install it, just twist on behind the front sight. It also includes a set-screw to prevent it from coming loose. They don’t work the Chinese model Type 53 Mosin Nagant rifles however. They’re made in Texas and retail for $69.95.
