The new HERA Arms CQR stock and grip has really made waves lately in the gun world. According to an article on TFB LAN World Inc has a waiting list of 12,000 people for the new HERA Arms CQR stock and grips. That’s a lot of people! I have a feeling they’ll sell even more of these bad boys.
Great news everyone, we are starting to ship the new CQR Stocks!!…..but….reality is that we have over Twelve Thousand (12,000) people signed up on our waiting list (this is just LAN World’s list). It is going to take some time to get everyone their stocks. If your not getting the email it is because there are a lot of people in line. Please be patient. HERA is shipping to several distributors at the same time so things take time and will start to move quicker and quicker. Thank you for all the support on this super awesome product. If you are going to SHOT show it will be on display at several locations throughout the show. Thank you again!!! hang in there, they are coming.
Looks like another gun company bites the dust, this time it’s Olympic Arms. After 40 years of business the AR makers are shutting their doors. Their last day of operations will be Feb 28th 2017. They posted the notice below on their website and social pages. Could this be a sign of things to come with the firearms industry, especially AR-15s? Some have said there was an AR bubble. During all the gun control hype with the last administration lots of AR companies sprang up to meet the increased demand, with that demand lowering we may see more gun companies closing up shop or at least lowering prices or innovating to stay in business. Which isn’t a bad thing.
After more than 40 years of business, it is with great sorrow that we announce that February 28th, 2017 will be the last day of operation for Olympic Arms, Inc.
The Schuetz family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all their friends, associates, and partners that have been a part of the Olympic Arms experience. Most of all we would like to thank our loyal customers and patrons who have been with us all this time.

All inventory will be liquidated.
ALL SALES will cease at close of business 28 February, 2017
Here’s some interesting news, according to TFB, the US Army is only paying $207 per handgun for the Sig Sauer M17 Modular pistols. It was announced just last week that the US Army was dumping the Beretta M92 for the Modular Sig Sauer P320. That’s quite the deal, but to win military contracts weapons makers usually try to undercut the competition to score the contract.

Check out the video above of some guys magnet fishing in a lake in Czechoslovakia Czech Republic, what’s magnet fishing? I don’t know, it looks like you just throw a magnet on a line into a lake to try and score something made out of metal. Well the guys in the video scored big when one of them pulls out a WWII MP40 submachine gun.
I’d say that’s a better find than the diver that found a pistol in a river.
Popular AR-15 mag makers Hexmag showed off their new mags at the 2017 SHOT Show. The mags feature the same hexagon pattern as their AR mags, no word yet on a price or release date. Stay tuned!
When it comes to buying gear lots of people are always concerned with offensive gear and not the defensive gear one should have in their arsenal. I don’t blame them as I did the same for a long time. We all want the most reliable handguns, most accurate rifles and sharpest blades we can afford for our bug out kits or to use in the line of duty. But even the most trained gunfighter should have a way to protect themselves in a battle, or the cop walking the beat, or just the regular Joe who wants some piece of mind in this crazy world we live in.
FightLite will be debuting their new MXR multi-caliber sub gun at the 2017 SHOT Show. It’s chambered in 9mm but can be converted by the user without the use of tools to .22LR, .45ACP and other calibers not yet specified by FightLite. They also claim the new MXR can use Glock, Beretta, CZ and Sig magazines. Stay tuned for more info from the SHOT Show.

“We’re really excited to bring these new products to market and topping the list is our new patent-pending MXR™, a multi-caliber sub gun that is primarily chambered in 9mm and is caliber convertible at the user level without tools to include .22LR, .45ACP and other popular pistol calibers.” said Geoffrey Herring, President-CEO. “The compact MXR™ is suppressor capable and will also convert to accept a variety of pistol magazine types including Glock, Beretta, CZ, SIG and many others. Concealed carry holsters are a dime a dozen these days, there are a ton out there on the market. Now that’s not a bad thing, the more responsible gun owners with a CCW the better. But it seems like most holsters for those with a CCW are essentially the same. The G2 Urban Carry Holster from UrbanCarryHolsters.com is very different. It was designed to be comfortable and be used with almost any outfit with our without a belt. It’s available for either semi-autos or revolvers and retails for $65. Check out the video above to see it in action, and stay tuned as I’ve actually been using a G2 Urban Carry Holster for the past few weeks and have a review on the way.
