Ammo Can Locking Kit

ammo can lock

If you have a lot of ammo horded (as you should) then I’m sure you have a few steel surplus ammo cans too. I recently stumbled upon this kit that allows you to add a padlock to your old steel ammo cans. They’re a good way to add extra safety to your old ammo cans. The hardware kit works with 50 cal, 30 cal, 20mm and 40mm ammo cans.

The kit is available with free shipping over on Amazon.com.

Glock recently released a press release (see below) stating that 65% of law enforcement agencies in the US currently use Glock pistols as their primary service weapon and that number continues to grow. So what’s the other 35% waiting for?!

YouTube Alternatives for Gun Videos

2

YouTube is owned by Google, and we all know how Google feels about guns. Back in 2012 they purged all firearms and ammo from Google Shopping, we also posted our Alternatives To Google For Guns & Ammo Shopping guide to help our readers still find the best deals online.

Google has taken it further in the past year or so, first by demonetizing most YouTube gun channels. Including our small YouTube channel. While we don’t rely on YouTube for traffic, views and income to keep the lights on, many in the Gun industry do. YouTube is a very powerful marketing tool and Google knows this, so by demonetizing they’ll be hurting many channel owners and companies by removing a source of income and traffic.

RIP “The Gunny” R. Lee Ermey

0

It’s a sad day, beloved Marine Corps Sergeant and actor R. Lee Ermey, known as “The Gunny” passed away today at 74 due to complications from pneumonia. Ermey gained notoriety playing a U.S. Marine Corps drill instructor in the film “Full Metal Jacket”. He was actually a consultant on that film, but he was so convincing with his improvised lines that director Stanley Kubrick replaced the actor who was suppose to play the Drill Instructor with Ermey.

The Gunney is also well known for his voice acting and TV work on shows such as the History Channel’s “Mail Call” and “Lock n’ Load”. He was also known as a supporter of the Second Amendment and was a spokesman for Glock for many years.

It was at the Glock booth at SHOT Show 2012 where I first met The Gunny. He was a tall and imposing figure when I first met him, especially after watching him play Gunnery Sergeant Hartman when I was a kid. I couldn’t help thinking he’d start yelling at me over a jelly donut.

However, after greeting him and telling him how much I enjoyed his work it was then I realized he was actually a very friendly and approachable man. The lines to meet him at SHOT Show were always the longest of any other autograph signing at the show. He greeted ever fan with a firm handshake and treated them like they were his pal and he always stayed longer than his allotted time to be with the fans. RIP Gunny.

The Gun Control Generation

2

“The Constitution of most of our states (and of the United States) assert that all power is inherent in the people; that they may exercise it by themselves; that it is their right and duty to be at all times armed.”
– Thomas Jefferson, letter to John Cartwright, 5 June 1824

I’ll be the first one to say that I’m aware not all current teens and young adults believe in gun control or creating policy to help enable gun control. But I will also be the first to say that this same generation has a vast majority that do believe in changing the current laws or even abolishing the second amendment as a whole. These are the same people that beg for our entire country to be free of guns but complain that law enforcement and clear backpacks infringe on their rights. Quite the double standard.
