Someone needs to tell these guys a thing or two about trigger discipline, or else this really could have been a case of friendly fire. Seeing as there’s a bottle of booze (probably a native made rum) I’m assuming they thought taking this picture was a good idea at the time. All kidding aside, the above photograph was taken between 1899 and 1900 during the Philippine-American war and is from the Manila Branch Studio of Japanese photographer T. Enami.

  1. Are those the infamous .38 special revolvers they developed to stop the drugged up Filipino “rebels” they couldn’t put down with their other pistols?
