Ruger recently introduced a lower priced model of their SR-556 AR-15 called the SR-556E. It retails for about $600 cheaper than the SR-556 at about $1369. No word from Ruger what the “E” stands for, but what we do know is that it comes with only a 12 o’clock rail as opposed to a full quad rail like the SR-556 comes with.
