It seems like every major firearms manufacturer has their own version of the popular AR-15 rifle. Mossberg recently entered the AR market with their new MMR AR-15’s. Their new “Mossberg Modern Rifles” are available in two configurations, a tactical and hunter model. The MMR Tactical is your standard M4 styled AR-15 rifle, the MMR Hunter features a varmit rifle layout in either a black or mossy oak finishes.
The new Mossberg MMR AR-15s feature free-floating carbon steel barrels with a 1:9 twist rate and standard direct-impingement operation. The MMR Hunter features a Stark Ergo Pistol grip with a battery storage compartment as well as a oversized trigger gaurd. It also comes with a A2 fixed stock an aluminum fore-end and 20″ barrel with a recessed hunting crown. The MMR Hunter comes with a 5-round magazine and goes for $921 in the black finish and $1010 in the mossy oak finish.
The Mossberg MMR 556 Tactical includes a 16.25″ barrel with a removable A2-style muzzlebreak as well as a picatinny quad-rail forend ready for lights, grips and other accessories. It will also come with either a fixed A2-style stock or a standard 6-position M4-style adjustable stock. You also have the option of ordering it with or without iron sights.
