  1. This strikes me as an incredibly BAD idea; Delrin is quite soft, and I’d be worried about it holding up.

    It seems to me that the big spots of trouble would be the threads stripping out where the receiver extension/buffer tube attaches, along with the trigger group pins ovaling out their holes.
