These new CMP Special .308 Garands are completely refurbished and are based off an original Springfield Armory receiver, brand new Criterion barrel and new American Walnut stock and handgaurds as well as a new web sling. Pretty much a brand new rifle. A .308 spacer block will be utilized to prevent the loading of a .30-06 round into the chamber.
