BudsGunShop.com recently sent out a newsletter about their top-selling guns so far this year, and the gun at the number one spot might be a bit surprising. The Mosin Nagant rifle was Bud’s number one selling gun of 2012. Not an AR, not a Glock or shotgun. It was the venerable old Russian work horse. Check out their list of top-selling guns below:

I have two left just sold three. These don’t seem special to me. I lean towards the Mauser for appearance.
I am one of the reasons the Ruger LC9 is on this list! Bought one in March and looking forward to having about as much fun as a man can have with a piece of metal real soon!
Wish I’d found one (or 2) at $99. Since I’ve heard of them, all I’m seeing is $139 up. I’ll pass at these prices and hold on to the SKSs I bought a number of years ago at $79!
looks to me like price was the determining factor for those purchaes
I am not surprised at all. This is a sensible purchase for most people. Accurate firearm, proven reliability, low cost and cheap to shoot.
I’ve bought a few this year. I think many people are seeing the need to add firearms for others in their circle of friends and family.
What better firearm then one designed to survive Russian peasants and extreme conditions.
