Looks like Magpul just threw their hat into the 1911 accessory ring with their new 1911 grip panels. At under $25 it’s very affordable like most of the products in Magpul’s lineup. It’s made right here in the USA and was designed and tested with input from Magpul’s instructors from their training division. It’s made of carbon reinforced polymer and have a diamond-shaped cross section to prevent your 1911 from twisting in your hand. It has an aggressive mag release cut-out as well and works with ambidextrous safeties. They’ll fit right up with full-size framed 1911s with standard grip screw bushings. Currently they’ll only be available in carbon gray and are due out in late summer 2013. Check them out over at Magpul.com.
